What ReadLock stores

ReadLock stores your onboarding answers, reading progress, selected reading times, app-blocking setup state, and subscription status on your device.

Screen Time permissions

When you grant Screen Time access, ReadLock uses Apple's Family Controls APIs to hold the apps, categories, or web domains you select until your daily reading page is complete.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, ReadLock schedules reading reminders, unlock notifications, and trial reminders on your device.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. ReadLock uses StoreKit and RevenueCat to load subscription options, validate purchases, restore purchases, and check subscription entitlement status.

Analytics

ReadLock uses PostHog analytics to understand app usage and improve the product. Analytics events may include app lifecycle, onboarding, paywall, purchase, notification, Screen Time, and lock/unlock events. ReadLock does not currently use an account login system or intentionally identify you by name or email inside the app.

Service providers

ReadLock uses Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Supabase to provide app distribution, subscriptions, analytics, and website waitlist functionality. These providers may process data according to their own privacy practices when their services are used.

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, ReadLock stores your email address and basic signup context so we can manage launch communication.
